Dancer

Scynthia Charles was born and raised in the Boston area and hails from a Haitian American background. She has been dancing for most of her life. She began studying West African dance in 2015, learning from many master West African artists from Senegal, Mali and Guinea. In addition, she has performed with many African dance ensembles: Ammaya Dance & Drum, Benkadi Drum & Dance, Uprising Dance Theater, and more. Scynthia currently works in the admissions department at Harvard University.
