Dancer & Choreographer
Anthony Wilder is originally from Milwaukee, WI, where he was raised through arts education and training in music, dance, and theater. Anthony attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and pursued his Bachelor of Arts in Oboe Performance and Journalism and his Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. Dancing during his college years, in 2010 he joined his first dance companies: Atimevu Drum and Dance and Limanya Drum and Dance Ensemble. At this time he also began teaching introductory African dance courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Anthony has danced with Duniya Drum and Dance and Afoutayi Haitian Dance, Music and Arts Company in Minneapolis, MN and with Benkadi Drum and Dance, Agbekor Drum and Dance Society, Ammaya Dance and Drum, and Pasy Naay Leer in Boston, MA. Anthony currently resides in the New York City area and studies with Mouminatou Camara, Maguette Camara, and Ismael Kouyate.
